Father Louis Bonacci was ordained in 1973 and worked primarily in higher education. In 2011, the Maryland Province of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) learned that Bonacci had sexually abused “a minor in a family home” between 1978 and 1982 when he was employed with what was then Loyola College in Baltimore. During the investigation, Jesuit investigators reported a second allegation of abuse by Bonacci to civil authorities. There are no further details regarding the abuse other than that it occurred in Columbia, Maryland. On July 11, 2011, Father Louis Bonacci was placed on the Archdiocese “do not hire” list. He left the Jesuits in 2014.
