Moody, Jerome (Fr.)

Jerome Moody was ordained on June 25, 1973. In 2002, the Baltimore Police Department informed the Archdiocese that it received reports from several unnamed individuals that Moody had sexually abused them. The Archdiocese informed the Redemptorists and asked the Redemptorists to provide any additional information related to allegations of abuse by Moody. The Archdiocese did not take any further action.

In September 2005, a man reported that Moody sexually abused him in the mid 1970s over a three-year period. The abuse consisted of fondling and oral rape and occurred in the rectory of St. James and St. John Church. The survivor identified another potential victim, but decided not to pursue litigation, wishing instead to prevent further instances from occurring. Jerome Moody died on January 22, 2006.
