Brotzman, Stephen

Stephen Brotzman, a teacher at several Catholic schools between 1991 and 2005, was accused in August 2005 of sending inappropriate emails to a female student. The Archdiocese was investigating the report when Brotzman died on August 31, 2005. The day after he died, a student at St. Louis School stated that Brotzman had sexually abused her and sent her explicit messages. The survivor claimed she knew another victim at the Immaculate Heart of Mary and that Brotzman’s death resulted from complications following an attempted suicide. Another two victims reported abuse by Brotzman in 2006.
