Msgr. Roger K. Wooden was ordained on June 16, 1976. After his retirement Wooden lived at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament rectory. A woman reported then when she was a teenager she worked as a “rectory girl” a few nights a week. Wooden began making sexual comments to her and once chased her around his room, which she escaped. Another time he pinned her against a wall and rubbed up against her while naked. Two seminarians intervened and helped her escape. In 1995 and 2000, personal ads placed in local newspapers asked if anyone had been disciplined by or encountered Monsignor Wooden in the 1950-1970’s. The person who placed the advertisement is unknown.
