Father William Walsh was ordained in 1954. In 1996, Walsh’s niece reported that her uncle sexually abused her when she was 5 years old in the 1950’s. He also sexually abused her sisters hundreds of times while they were between the ages of 6 to 14. After this report the Jesuits removed him from ministry and sent him to the Woodstock Theological Center on the Georgetown campus. He was also sent to St. Like Institute for treatment. Public pressure made the Jesuits move Walsh to a Jesuit residence in Baltimore. In 2018 the Jesuits listed Walsh as credibly accused and said there were reports of sexual abuse in several of his postings in and outside of Maryland.
