Father William Braun, a Sulpician, was ordained on May 30, 1942. In 2002, a man reported that Braun sexually abused him as a junior high school student at St. Dominic’s school. In that capacity, Braun cultivated a relationship with the survivor, paying him special attention, showering him with gifts, and engaging in controlling behavior. The Archdiocese entered a settlement with the survivor for $35,000. Father Braun died on October 8, 1964.
