Father Joseph Gerg was ordained on May 22, 1965. On March 4, 1997, a survivor reported that Gerg, then an Associate Pastor at St. Benedict’s Church in Catonsville, MD, sexually abused her from age 13 to 17. The abuse included kissing, fondling, forced touching, and masturbation. The survivor is believed to have reported the abuse to priests Neil Magnus and Joseph Maskell, both known sexual abusers. There is very little available information about these reports.
