Lippold, John (Fr.)

Father John Lippold was ordained on May 25, 1957. In 2010, a woman reported that Lippold sexually abused her in the late 1960s when she was sixteen. The abuse occurred at Saints Phillip & James Church in Baltimore, MD, and consisted of fondling and kissing. The Archdiocese made the mandated report in 2010, but the survivor did not pursue criminal charges due to Lippold’s age. In 2017, a second survivor reported that Lippold sexually abused her when she was eleven at St. John the Evangelist in Frederick, MD. Lippold retired in 2001 and died on January 27, 2017.
