Father Dennis Pecore was ordained in 1982. In approximately 1973, a ten-year-old survivor disclosed that Pecore sexually abused him while spending the night at Pecore’s residence in Maryland. The abuse involved Pecore entering the bed naked and touching the victim’s penis. The Archdiocese made a mandated report on March 21, 2002. In 1987, Pecore was convicted in Milwaukee for sexually assaulting a student at Mother of Good Counsel, and a settlement agreement was reached with the survivor. Pecore was convicted again in 1994 for the sexual abuse of his nephew, and another priest, Palathingal, was also convicted for assaulting the same boy. Pecore left the priesthood in 1995.
