Father Benedict Mawn was ordained on May 5, 1945. In 2002, a survivor reported that Mawn and two other priests sexually abused him at St. Joseph’s Monastery sometime in the late 1940s or early 1950s. The survivor was approximately 10 to 14 years old at the time. In 2005, Mawn was accused in a civil suit of abusing a boy in Brighton, Massachusetts in 1976. He died on July 17, 1998.
