McCarthy, Constantine (Br.)

In November 2002, a man reported to the Archdiocese that Brother Constantine McCarthy sexually assaulted him when he was roughly eight years old and a student at the St. Patrick School in Fells Point, MD. The abuse included forced touching and indecent exposure. The survivor reported that two other boys informed him that they were also abused. According to the Xaverian Brothers, McCarthy left the order at the end of his temporary vows in 1947 and is believed to have become a high school teacher at the Aquinas Institute in Rochester, NY. He died in the 1970s.
