Langan, Xavier (Br.)

In 2002, a man reported to Calvert Hall that Geoffrey Xavier Langan sexually abused him from 1967 to 1968. The abuse consisted of forced masturbation and kissing. The survivor entered a settlement with Calvert Hall and the Christian Brothers in 2011. In 2002, another man reported that Langan abused him as a freshman at Calvert Hall during the 1948-49 school year. The survivor reported the abuse in 1990, but there is no record of the report. A third survivor reported similar abuse in 2008, occurring in 1979 and 1980. The Archdiocese entered a settlement with him shortly after.

Since then, several survivors have come forward with reports of Langan’s sexual abuse. Langan died in 1984.
