Monsignor William McCrory was ordained in 1941. In April 2019, a woman reported to the Maryland Office of the Attorney General that McCrory sexually abused her when she was seven to nine years old at St. Francis of Assisi in Brunswick, MD. At the time, McCrory also had responsibilities at St. Mary’s Church in Petersville, MD. The abuse consisted of fondling and digital penetration. He is reported to have bribed the survivor with gifts and favors in exchange for her silence. McCrory died on May 9, 1993.
