Heilman, Edward (Fr.)

Father Edward Heilman was ordained on November 29, 1980. In January 2014, a survivor reported that Heilman sexually abused him when he was a student at the Shrine of the Little Flower Parish in Baltimore, Maryland, during the 1970s. In 2022, another survivor came forward, reporting two instances of sexual abuse by Heilman. The first incident occurred between 1978 and 1979 at St. Mary’s Seminary, where Heilman attacked and fondled the boy. The second incident happened when Heilman was assigned to St. Marks, where Fr. Heilman and Fr. Mardaga (another credibly accused priest) orally raped him. Edward Heilman died on August 17, 1988.
