Father Regis Larkin was ordained on March 17, 1945. In November 1992, a survivor wrote a letter to Archbishop Keeler, informing him that Father Regis Larkin had sexually abused him between 1978 and 1981 when he was twelve to fifteen. The abuse included fondling, genital touching, wrestling, sleeping in the same bed, and forced sexual acts. The abuse primarily took place in the rectory of St. Patrick’s Church in Cumberland, Maryland.
In March 2002, a second survivor reported that Larkin abused him in the 1950s and 1960s when he was in the 5th grade. Since then, several more survivors have come forward with reports that Larkin sexually abused them. Larkin died on June 23, 1981.
