Children are Suffering Too, Archbishop

Newly appointed interim head of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minnesota, Archbishop Bernard Hebda, said yesterday that he will devote most of his time to the archdiocese, because “The archdiocese has been suffering something difficult and shocking, and it would make sense to give [it] the bulk of time and energy at this point.”  What was unfortunately missing from the Archbishop’s comments is recognition that children have been suffering  difficult and shocking things as a result of the Archdiocese’s wrongful conduct.

Hebda’s comments were made in an interview with The Catholic Spirit, a Catholic newspaper, but he did not address mainstream media.
